spiker is looking to work with people like this!
Recruitment information is available below. Before checking out our job openings, we’d appreciate it if you could take a moment to consider whether our company aligns with your values.
Individuals who share our vision and are committed to working tirelessly to bring it to fruition
Spiker Co., Ltd. was founded in response to the tragic loss of a loved one’s baby—an event that occurred both in Japan and in developing countries. For this reason, from our very inception, we have been committed to working without regard to national borders or preconceived notions—whether in developing or developed countries—to support families around the world who long to hear a “healthy first cry,” as well as the healthcare leaders who support them. In the healthcare field, where every day is a race against time, focusing on and implementing innovative initiatives is a significant challenge—not only for us but even more so for our clients, including hospital administrators and government leaders. That is precisely why, no matter what difficulties we face or how discouraged we may feel, we must continue to pursue our mission with resilience and a strong sense of purpose, alongside our colleagues and the clients who have placed their trust in us. For this reason, we believe that viewing our company merely as a temporary stepping stone for career advancement—or choosing us only after weighing us against other career opportunities or compensation packages—does not align with our values, and makes it difficult to work together toward realizing our long-term vision. We are seeking individuals who genuinely resonate with our vision and are driven by a sincere desire to bring it to life.
Someone who can work patiently while embracing change
Spiker Co., Ltd. is a company that continues to take on new challenges with the goal of realizing our vision of “Bringing the Sound of a Healthy First Cry to the World,” looking forward to the moment when a baby lets out that healthy first cry. It’s commonplace for sudden changes—typical of startups—to occur at a moment’s notice due to customer requests. We’re looking for someone who can work with us for the long term, embracing change with an attitude of “Well, let’s give it a try” as long as the ultimate goal is achieved, regardless of how methods or circumstances may shift. For this reason, we feel that individuals with extensive experience in stable, low-change work environments in Japan—where they were not required to develop the ability to adapt to change—may not be the best fit for our company. Conversely, we believe that individuals who have consistently driven change even in stable workplaces, or those with at least three years of work experience in fast-paced, high-change environments such as competitive growth markets, are likely to adapt well to our company’s environment.
Someone who never forgets to respect a team made up of professionals from diverse backgrounds
Spiker Co., Ltd. brings together professionals from a wide range of fields to realize our vision of “Bringing the Sound of a Healthy First Cry to the World.” In addition to technical engineers, medical professionals such as doctors and midwives, regulatory affairs specialists, and back-office staff—all of whom are based in various countries within their respective fields—we also have local field staff in each country. This is a diverse and stimulating team where simply being part of it is an educational experience, thanks to the cross-functional and cross-cultural diversity that exists across job roles and nationalities. We are looking for individuals who consistently respect team members with diverse skills and nationalities and who will actively contribute as professionals within our team. Therefore, those with absolutely no experience working in diverse teams or in international field settings may find it difficult to thrive as professionals at our company. We would be delighted if you have experience working respectfully alongside a diverse group of team members—whether through sports, studying abroad, or other experiences.
Individuals Who Can Fulfill Their Responsibilities with a Sense of Accountability
As mentioned above, Spiker Co., Ltd. is a company that brings together a diverse group of professionals from around the world. Therefore, we are seeking individuals who can demonstrate their professional skills effectively in such an environment. At times, you may need to work with people from completely different cultures, customs, and ways of thinking, depending on the client’s country of origin. Regardless of the environment, you will be expected to carry out the duties assigned to you with a sense of responsibility—while maintaining respect for your teammates and clients—and to deliver results. We are looking for individuals who, together with their teammates, will spare no effort in finding solutions—trying Plan A, then Plan B, then Plan C, and so on—and who will take responsibility for seeing a task through to success without giving up. It is also important to have a clear understanding of your own skills and be able to make appropriate suggestions; for example, if you feel a task cannot be accomplished with your current skills, you should seek out someone who can handle it.
Anyone who knows how to bounce back when you’re feeling down
Spiker Co., Ltd. is a company working to realize its vision of “Bringing the Sound of Healthy First Cries to the World,” so it’s not uncommon for us to suddenly find ourselves dealing with clients from countries we know nothing about. Working in an unfamiliar culture and society—especially when language barriers make communication difficult—can be exhausting at times, and unreasonable situations can even lead to feeling discouraged. In such moments, while relying on your teammates is the first priority, we are also looking for people who know how to bounce back on their own with resilience.
We warmly welcome both young professionals and experienced candidates who share our vision and are strongly committed to achieving our goals.
Given the many requirements we’ve outlined so far, some of you may feel that you lack the necessary experience and don’t meet these criteria. However, since some of spiker Inc.’s operations are supported by international student interns, young professionals—who possess flexibility, focus, and the time and potential for growth—may actually be a better fit if they have a strong commitment to realizing our vision. We also warmly welcome experienced veterans who have taken early retirement and are interested in taking on new challenges. If you’re willing to work hard alongside us, please reach out so we can talk.
